Learn About Wine Storage Racks For Home and Commercial Venues
Modern wine storage racks serve many different purposes. They have become more then a mere storage unit for your wine. Now they also serve as a focal point, or as a unique piece of art, which adds sophistication to any setting. Beautiful as well as useful, wine storage racks have gained popularity not only with the individual connoisseur, but also in the commercial setting.
All wine enthusiasts know that the proper care and storage of the bottle is essential in preserving the tannins or taste of the wine and that is why they own a wine storage rack. Without proper storage, the wine can begin to break down, and lose much of its distinct original flavor. The wine storage rack is the answer to proper storage. Moreover, depending on the rack design, multiple bottles can be displayed without utilizing any surface area than a single bottle!
As the wine storage racks built for private use, commercial wine racks have also morphed into elegant displays. Many restaurants prominently display their racks behind the bar, whereas wine racks predominantly were kept behind closed doors. Commercial wine racks can serve multiple purposes. They are very efficient and safe for storing unopened bottles of wine. In addition, they are aesthetically pleasing and a sale point to the customer.
A well placed wine rack acts as its own menu. The customer can see the selection, thus creating an increase in sales, since most purchases are made by an attraction. The commercial wine rack helps market the wine itself thru this attraction. With the proper wine storage rack, labels on bottles are easily visible, selection is obvious and quantity is easy to ascertain.
Wine storage racks are a great addition to any wine enthusiasts abode, whether to be used at home or in a restaurant for commercial purposes. They are both functional and decorative. Both individual wine racks and commercial wine racks are customizable. They are no longer just a stack of square boxes, but come in a variety of shapes, colors and sizes to suit any need or desire. Wine storage racks ensure proper storage for your wine. They are convenient to use, and a great value for your money.

Strauss: The Best of Vienna
Customer Review: Love this 2-CD from Vienna Philharmonic!
My favorite collection of perfectly choreographed Johann Strauss ll as well as his father Johann Strauss, and his brother Josepf. Johann ll gets top billing.
This is one of my better investments of the most beautiful music you will ever hear (waltzes and polkas).
I can't get enough. Highly Recommended!
Customer Review: Got caught up
I saw a PBS special on Strauss and ran out to purchase. I'm not sure if I was caught up in the PBS hype or just had different expectations.

Preserving Food without Freezing or Canning: Traditional Techniques Using Salt, Oil, Sugar, Alcohol, Vinegar, Drying, Cold Storage, and Lactic Fermentation
Typical books about preserving garden produce nearly always assume that modern "kitchen gardeners" will boil or freeze their vegetables and fruits. Yet here is a book that goes back to the futureâcelebrating traditional but little-known French techniques for storing and preserving edibles in ways that maximize flavor and nutrition.
Translated into English, and with a new foreword by Deborah Madison, this book deliberately ignores freezing and high-temperature canning in favor of methods that are superior because they are less costly and more energy-efficient.
As Eliot Coleman says in his foreword to the first edition, "Food preservation techniques can be divided into two categories: the modern scientific methods that remove the life from food, and the natural 'poetic' methods that maintain or enhance the life in food. The poetic techniques produce... foods that have been celebrated for centuries and are considered gourmet delights today."
Preserving Food Without Freezing or Canning offers more than 250 easy and enjoyable recipes featuring locally grown and minimally refined ingredients. It is an essential guide for those who seek healthy food for a healthy world.
Customer Review: Awsome

Customer Review: Excellent reference for a lost art
As someone who has a large garden and works at preserving the harvest, I really appreciate these alternative techniques. Many of the recipes are more healthful and quicker than canning and don't require heating up your kitchen on a hot August day. The lacto-fermented recipes alone make the book worth purchasing. An excellent companion to Sally Fallon's classic: "Nourishing Traditions."

Riedel Wine Series Syrah/Shiraz Glasses, Set of 4
Crafted from premium lead-free glass, Riedel's Wine Series is an attractive and functional line of wineglasses, featuring the most popular bowl shapes of the more expensive Vinum collection. The glasses are machine-made in Europe by renowned glassmakers and feature a faceted stem with tiered decorations at the top and base. The thin rims are cut and polished so that wine flows well onto the tongue, and the bowl shapes emphasize bouquet. This set of four glasses is designed to highlight the intense nose, bold flavors, and sweet finish of Shiraz and Syrah wines. A versatile shape, the design is also suitable for serving Amarone, Blau Frankisch, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Grenache, Hermitage Rouge, Malbec, Mourvdre, and Pinotage. Each glass stands a striking 9-3/4 inches high and holds 22-7/8 ounces at full capacity. --Emily Bedard
Customer Review: great service
Product arrived in timely fashion and was exactly what was ordered. Item shipped was packed properly and there was no damage.
Customer Review: Okay, if you like a BIG glass, Vinum line is better
Perhaps my memory doesn't serve me well, because I was the designated driver the last time we toured wine country, but I don't recall them using glasses this BIG for reds. This glass was not suitable as a replacement for my crystal to serve with the china. I was not crazy about the size, weight, clarity and cloverleaf stem. Instead I bought a full set of the Riedel Vinum Zinfandel/Chianti & Riesling glasses at $16 a piece on sale with free shipping (vs these at $10 ea). It's worth the higher quality (24% lead crystal) and more versatile size and shape.
